PicTris is Tetris meets your photo library. You save videos and photos — and never open them again. PicTris turns forgotten clips and images from your gallery into the backdrop of a classic block puzzle. Play offline, swipe through your own media like a personal feed, and rediscover memories while you play.

You can also filter media by day, week, month, year, or all photos; preview what’s coming next in the left panel; delete unwanted items; and share the current photo or video.

Yes. The core game — Photo Gallery and Video Gallery — is completely free with no ads, no tracking, and no accounts. Blogger Mode includes one free recording per day. PicTris Pro is an optional upgrade for creators who need more.

PicTris Pro is an optional In-App Purchase (monthly or lifetime) that unlocks:

• Unlimited Blogger Mode recordings
• No watermark on exported videos
• Full teleprompter access — auto scroll, manual swipe, scripts from Files

The core game stays free. Pro only adds advanced Blogger Mode features.

Blogger Mode turns PicTris into a reaction and gameplay recorder for creators:

• Your front camera fills the background
• Screen capture records the session
• The microphone captures your voice together with in-game sounds
• Hide the grid or score panel for a cleaner shot
• Use the built-in teleprompter with auto scroll or manual swipe
• After game over — watch, save to Photos, or share your video

Recordings stay on your device.

In Blogger Mode, the teleprompter loads plain .txt files from the Files app. Here is the easiest way to create one:

1. Open Notes
2. Tap the pencil icon in the top-right corner to start a new note
3. Write your script
4. Tap Share in the top-right corner → Save to Files
5. Choose a folder and add .txt to the end of the filename (for example, my-script.txt)
6. Tap Save

In PicTris, open Blogger Mode → teleprompter → load the file from Files.

4. Choose auto scroll or manual swipe to read while you play

Yes. Core gameplay is fully offline — no internet required. Your photos, videos, and recordings never leave your device.

No. PicTris has no ads, no analytics, no tracking, and no user accounts. Everything stays on your device. Photo library access is only used to display your media as game backgrounds — you control permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

If you deny photo library access, or your library has no portrait videos, PicTris shows a default static background — the same placeholder used in Photo Gallery. No internet required, no downloads. Grant access and add vertical videos to your library to play them as backgrounds with sound.

Yes. Generate vertical vocab cards with the Telegram bot @Pictris_vocab_cards_bot, save the PNGs to Photos, open Photo Gallery, and use Limit Access to show only those images. Play Tetris while cards cycle in the background — a quick review session between lessons.

For oral checks, use Blogger Mode with a .txt question script in the teleprompter. Upload the recording to cloud or social and send the link to your tutor. Full guide →

Yes. Blogger Mode lets you record answers to HR questions on the front camera with a teleprompter script loaded from Files. Hide the grid for a cleaner frame, then upload to YouTube Unlisted, Google Drive, or iCloud and send the link to the recruiter.

You control where the video lives and who can see it — no third-party AI interview platform required. Some employers may still require their own tooling; PicTris is a candidate-controlled alternative, not an ATS. Full guide →

Make sure PicTris has Microphone permission in iOS Settings → PicTris. Screen recording captures gameplay video; the microphone records your voice separately during export.

Want to tell a story about a trip, birthday, or any event — with your photos on screen and your voice on the recording — but without showing your face? PicTris can do that. Blogger Mode normally uses the front camera as a live background. If camera access is off, the game falls back to your selected gallery photos instead. You play, comment, and export a video recap. Step 1 — Curate photos for the story

1. Open PicTris and go to Photo Gallery mode (or grant photo access when prompted).
2. When iOS asks for photo library access, tap Limit Access… (or Select Photos… on older iOS versions).
3. Pick only the photos you want in your story — e.g. all shots from one vacation, party, or weekend.
4. Confirm selection. PicTris will cycle through this curated set during gameplay.

To add or remove photos later: Settings → PicTris → Photos → Edit Selected Photos…

Step 2 — Turn off camera access

1. Open the iOS Settings app.
2. Scroll down and tap PicTris.
3. Tap Camera and choose None (or disable camera access).

Keep Microphone enabled — you need it for voice commentary. Photo library access should stay on for your selected images.

Step 3 — Record in Blogger Mode

1. Open PicTris and start Blogger Mode.
2. Your curated photos appear as the live background instead of the camera feed.
3. Optional: open the teleprompter and load a .txt script so you do not forget what to say.
4. Optional: hide the grid or score panel for a cleaner recording.
5. Play and narrate — swipe down to move to the next photo when you are ready.
6. After game over: preview the recording, then save to Photos or share.

Tips for a better recap video

• Order your selected photos chronologically in the library before recording, or plan which swipes advance the story.
• Write a short script in Notes, save it as .txt, and use the teleprompter while you play.
• Use a quiet room so your voice is clear over the game sounds.
• Free plan: one Blogger Mode recording per day. PicTris Pro unlocks unlimited recordings and removes the watermark.

When you are done, you can turn camera access back on in Settings → PicTris → Camera if you want face-cam recordings again.
